7-30-12 Promotions Committee Meeting at The Sylvania Historical Museum at 8:30am.  We would love to have anyone who is interested in joining our committee and helping with fundraisers and events.  Hope to see you there!

3-7-12 Update

What a great meeting!  Thank you all who were able to attend!  We are so excited to have everyone as excited as we are!  A few things that happened are below.

Everyone was asked to join a committee if they were able.  Thank you so much to everyone who signed up.

• Our next DSA meeting is April 4th at 8:30am in City Council Chambers.  We are going to start a DSA Networking with coffee at Chandler’s on the Wednesdays we don’t have meetings at 8:30am for whoever would like to join us.  Please come to get to know other members, ask questions about the DSA or bring a potential member for more info.  Our first Chandler’s Day is March 14th. -we need to come up with a catchy name : )

• We are working on the June 2nd event. Jodi and I are meeting with the Association on Tuesday so we’ll keep you updated. 

2-29-12 Updates

YEA! Our new website’s domain name is downtownsylvania.org. We can’t wait to begin working on it! If you have any ideas please let us know.  We really want it to be a great place for residents, businesses and visitors to visit and get all the info they need.  It’s going to take a while to get it up and ready so in the meantime please continue checking out our current site.

Don’t forget tomorrow (thurs 3-1) there is an executive committee meeting tomorrow- you know who you are.  8:30 at the Administration Building on Monroe Street. See you all there!

2-27-12 Updates

Jodi and I have been working so hard to get ready for all our new members for the meeting  on March 7th.  If you missed the email from earlier today, please see below.

Notes from the last few weeks:

• Jodi and I met with Dale from Comfy Couch Designs (a graphic design company and new member of the DSA) last week and he created lots of logo options for us and we are so excited to share with your our selections so we can get your input!  We would like Dale to begin creating a DSA website for us.
• Jodi and I decided to create this blog as a place to update everyone on a weekly/daily basis since we only meet once a month.
• Jodi has been working like crazy to get everything updated with new member info and getting it to me so I could update the website as much as I am able to at this point. I can’t wait for Dale to create a new one with new capabilities!  We love that new memberships are coming in every day.

Hi Everyone!

Welcome and thank you all for your membership.  We look forward to the many tasks at hand armed with the valuable talents of our our new members.   There are several things we are working on right now and would encourage all of you to attend our meeting on the 7th of March at 8:30 a.m. in City Counsel Chambers.   You will find attached minutes from our last meeting, or feel free to go to our web site at http://sites.google.come/sites/downtownsyvania/home.  The association also has a facebook page so be sure to “like” us on facebook to follow what’s going on.

For all members joining as a Business or Corporation, please forward your logo to Jen at beautifulbloomsbyjen@yahooo.com.   I will continue to send updates and reminders via e-mail.  Please feel free to contact me at any time with your suggestions or concerns.

For the Executive Committee, please remember we have a board meeting scheduled for this Thursday the 1st of March in Administration Building on Monroe Street at 8:30 a.m.
